I was born in the small town of Hope, Arkansas.  By the age of 3, we had moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where I was raised on a one-acre piece of land given to my father by my grandfather a quarter mile from our nearest neighbor.  Growing up, I enjoyed the fresh country air, farmed the family farm, and helped raise cattle to take to the sale yard. 

My father, Kelly Klaas, was a radio personality for 43 years.  Much of those years were spent as a conservative talk-show host on KLIX AM.  My mother was a school teacher who majored in English.  Little did I know the skillsets I learned from the two of them would be used to influence politics through an online talk-show and political activism in my adult life.

I am a country-boy at heart who loves Idaho, the United States of America, and those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy every day.  I believe a limited government bound by the constraints of the Constitution is the foundation of the life we enjoy in our nation.  Our government is working hard to erode our inalienable rights, and we must fight daily if we are to maintain our liberties and freedoms.  It is our responsibility to hold our elected officials accountable, and keep a watchful eye to protect the lifestyle our forefathers fought so hard to give us so it will be here to pass down to future generations. 

Here, on Shane Talks Politics, I share my thoughts and use my voice in an effort to effect change and influence others to get involved.  I encourage all to listen daily, and join the fight to keep America free.
